CLEAR AIR / BUILDING AIR SYSTEMS
Fresh-Air
Intake UV
UV-C treatment for outdoor air before it reaches the air handler.
Fresh-Air Intake UV is installed in the incoming outdoor-air duct, upstream of the air handling unit (AHU). It treats air passing through a defined UV-C zone. This is a separate application from AHU Coil UV, which is positioned to treat HVAC coil surfaces.

TREATMENT AT THE AIR ENTRY
A building-specific approach to fresh-air UV.
Fresh-air systems differ from one property to another. CLEAR works with the building’s HVAC layout to determine whether there is a suitable location for UV-C equipment and how it can be installed, protected and serviced.
The system is designed for a defined section of the air pathway. It works alongside the building’s existing filtration and ventilation, with the final scope confirmed for the property.

HOW IT WORKS
Installed before air reaches the AHU.
For this application, UV-C equipment is installed in an enclosed section of the incoming outdoor-air duct. Air then continues into the building’s AHU and through its designed filtration and conditioning equipment. The system is designed for a defined section of the air pathway. It works alongside the building’s existing filtration and ventilation, with the final scope confirmed for the property.
1. Outdoor air enters
Outside air enters the building through the fresh-air intake duct.
2. UV-C intake zone
Air passes the UV-C fixtures inside a defined, enclosed section of duct.
3. Air reaches the AHU
The air continues into the AHU for filtration, heating or cooling, as designed.
Illustrative pathway only. Actual equipment order and installation location vary by building and HVAC design. UV-C exposure is contained within the enclosed system.
INCOMING AIR PATH
Fresh-Air Intake UV
Installed in the outdoor-air intake duct, upstream of the AHU. Designed for air passing through that defined section.
INSIDE THE AHU
AHU Coil UV
Installed within the air handling unit and aimed at the cooling coil and related surfaces. It addresses a different location and treatment target.
ONGOING OPERATION
Monitoring and planned service can support selected building air equipment under a defined agreement.
Explore Air Monitoring & Service -->DESIGNED AROUND YOUR PROPERTY
Consider the system before selecting the equipment.
A practical design starts with the intake and the operating conditions around it—not a one-size-fits-all layout.
1.- Airflow and duct layout
Review the available space, airflow and HVAC arrangement to identify a suitable treatment location.
2.- Safe, enclosed installation
Plan equipment placement, access and safeguards so UV-C remains contained within the system.
3.- Service and maintenance
Define inspection and service requirements for the selected equipment and building conditions.
